2nd Drop Records' Acronym at Cubed: DJ Zinc

On Friday 27th January, CUBED at SUB89 are proud to present a headline DJ set by the one and only ZINC. 2nd Drop Records' Acronym holds down the decks and warms up for the main man himself.

No one knows bass music quite like Zinc and we can’t wait to have him play for us through SUB89s impressive soundsystem, accompanied by MC Script.

Supporting Zinc will be a full line up of DJs who are experts at filling and rocking dancefloors alongside many of the biggest names around:

ZINC
DOLLA
MAJORA
CHARLIE HOLMAN (ChazzyMax)
ACRONYM (2nd Drop Records)
CUBED DJs

Drink deals on the night are as follows:

Pint of Fosters: £2.00
Jaegerbomb: £2.50
Double Smirnoff & mixer £3.25
Double Smirnoff & Red Bull - £3.50
Double Jack Daniels & mixer - £3.25

Doors open 10pm. Advanced tickets are £8 from http://www.wegottickets.com/event/150623
or at Sound Machine in Harris Arcade (no booking fee), Hard Edge, Urban Piercings & Total Sounds.

Distal interview

Toronto music collective and website StudioFeed had the pleasure of catching up with Atlanta, Georigia's producer/DJ Distal while on tour in Europe. The 2nd Drop crew met up with him when he headlined last November at Subloaded, Bristol.

Distal from StudioFeed on Vimeo.

Bridging the gap between techno, breakbeat hardcore, house, funk, gangster rap, and even pop culture, is a tricky formula to entertain, but Distal has managed to do it all. Quite the busy 27 year old - not only does he throw regular parties in his hometown and run Embassy Recordings, he has released projects on Soul Jazz, Fortified, Grizzly, Well Rounded, Tube10, Seclusiasis, Surefire and of course his juke remix on 2nd Drop. Distal is slated to release a full length album this spring.
